What's a tawa?
In Indian culture a tawa is a versatile cooking pan. It gives the perfect sear and flavor to a variety of foods, and food prepared on a tawa simply tastes better.
Our vision is to bring back traditional, village-style cooking that keeps the nutrients in, using local produce for mouth-watering flavor.

Born and raised in New Delhi, he found an early love for cooking in his grandmothers' kitchens: one with village traditions, the other with regional Indian classics. Food, he learned, is about the journey as much as the destination.
Now Executive Chef and part-owner of Tawa Kitchen with partners Kalyan and Divya, he's found a home in Peoria.
